A Movie Response for “Troy”

It is a movie of heroes. It is a movie in which almost all the main characters were finding reasons to fight.

The war was set up because of a woman. However, it was just an excuse for the ancient Greek King Agamemnon to invade Troy. Paris fought for the reason of his love for Helen. Prium fought for his responsibility for his son. Agamemnon fought for his own power and for the land. Archilles went to the battlefield for his own honor and the death of his cousin. From all the reasons, we can explore their attitudes to the meaning of their life. Among them, I admire Archilles most.

Before the war, Achilles had already known the result of himself, which was to die. In spite of this, he still brought his sword with him to the battlefield. At the beginning, he did not want to be abused by the selfish king. He did not fight until his cousin was killed. He lost his life when he was still very young. The value of his life could not be judged by its length, but what he had done. We should acknowledge that every one of us will die one day. Life is just like a journey, which has to come to an end. We all go through the processes of birth, living and death. So only what one has done while he was alive can make his life different. His fighting and death made him remembered in the history. As a worrier, if he missed such a splendid war he might be regretful in the rest of life. Fighting for his own honor was more reasonable at that time, when all the countrymen were be used and exploited by one king. I admire him because he never gave in to his king. He was a free man, and at the same time he was also an important man. Without his participating, his country troops were very difficult to win a war. That was why he was valuable to his country.

If we want to make our life meaningful, it is important for us to gain skills and abilities. We will not know what we do can make our lives different until we have done it. So try to be different.
