A Movie Response for “Rain Man”

 What is the most important thing in a family, money or love? I think after watching “Rain Man”, most of us will say “love”. I remember a friend told me the word “family” had its meaning. The letters “F”, “A”, “M”, “I”, “L”, “Y” mean “Father and mother, I love you”. It is love that makes us get together. It is love that gives us the reason to sacrifice ourselves for our family members.

  In the movie Charlie’s father left his 3 million dollars to a fund before he died, which made Charlie pretty angry. Then he found a man with the name “Raymond” had the right to control the money. He also found Raymond was autistic but his brother. Charlie decided to take Raymond on a long trip and get the money back. To his surprise, during the trip, he built love with Raymond and Raymond began to call Charlie “Rain Man”. On the day when Raymond should leave Charlie, Charlie felt very sad for he had known the meaning of brotherhood.  Through the trip, Charlie had changed a lot. He began to love his girlfriend, his brother and care less about money.

  In this world, everything could change except the true love. We must cherish the relationship with others. It is important for us to care, to respect, to love our family members, friends, teachers, and everyone that loves us. However, sometimes, there may be conflicts and quarrel among us. We should learn how to understand others and how to tolerate. What is also necessary is that we have to be careful with our words. Maybe we do not want to hurt others, but our careless words may give them bad feelings.

  Communicating is one of the most important ways to develop love and understanding. At the beginning, Charlie did not understand his brother just because they were just like two strangers. However, during the journey they talked a lot and did things together. They began to respect each other and Charlie learnt to be patient with his brother. Communicating is the sunshine which can melt the ice between people. Communicating is the bridge between heart and heart.

  Love is the most important thing in the world. But sometimes, unhappy things can happen. Let us learn to communicate and understand others, and then many troubles would not happen.
